At an event in New Delhi on 6thJune 2023 Honda Cars India unveiled its much-awaited SUV Elevate. The booking shall start in July and the pricing would be revealed during the festive season. The vehicle is a storehouse of hi-tech features and systems to watch out for.
Honda says

Design
The front of the car features a large grille with the Honda logo. It got sleek headlamps and taillamps surrounded with chrome hardware. Functional roof rails, sharkfin antenna, and 16-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels coupled with flared wheel arches are some of the key exterior features of the car.

Dimension
Honda Elevate with a 2,650 mm wheelbase is 4,312mm in length, 1,790mm in width, and 1,650mm in height. It has a boot space of 458 litres.
Interior
As far as the interior is concerned, the car boasts a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It also comes with a 7.0-inch HD color TFT digital instrument cluster to display information such as ODO, speedometer, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) functions. The car has a rear-view camera as well. Other features include a customizable display and wireless smartphone integration.
Powertrain
Elevate is packed with a 1.5-liter DOHC i-VTEC petrol engine which powers Honda City as well. The engine can churn out 121hp and a peak torque of 145 Nm. It has two gearbox options paired with the engine, a CVT Automatic gearbox, and a six-speed manual. The car offers front-wheel driving.
Safety
Along with the Honda Sensing ADAS technology, Elevate got Land Keeping Assist System, Collision Mitigation Braking System, adaptive cruise control, Lead Car Departure Notification, Road Departure Mitigation System, LaneWatch, Emergency Stop Signal, and Vehicle Stability Assist. Standard safety features like rear parking sensor, Hill Start Assist, and rear seat reminder are also included. There are up to 6 airbags in the car.
Honda Elevate is likely to cost onwards of Rs. 10.5 lakhs (ex-showroom). It would rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, Kial Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Toyota Hyryder, and MG Astor in the Indian car scene.
